Founded in 1998, A&M began its journey as one of Armenia's most distinguished literary publishing houses — a home for ideas, a bridge between worlds. Through its pages, Armenian readers encountered for the first time the luminous voices of Albert Camus, Saint-John Perse, Marguerite Duras, Maurice Maeterlinck, and André Gide. Literature, in A&M's vision, was never merely a product. It was a conversation across time and borders.

Over two decades, that conversation deepened and widened. A&M grew beyond publishing into a space where art, literature, and science converge — where a book might spark an exhibition, a research project, or a civic education initiative. The most celebrated of these is the illustrated series 50 Women Who Changed the World, now one of Armenia's most recognised projects for young audiences, weaving accessible storytelling with a profound gender equality mandate — reaching schools, libraries, and public life far beyond the NGO sector.

Under the leadership of founder and director Armine Danielyan — philologist, linguist, and translator — A&M was reregistered in 2024 as a non-profit Foundation. This was not merely an administrative step, but a deliberate declaration of purpose: to formalise partnerships with academic institutions and international donors, to pursue sustained interdisciplinary work, and to build a platform for cultural production and creative education that resists the limits of any single discipline.

1998 թվականին հիմնադրված ԱևՄ-ն սկսեց իր ուղին որպես Հայաստանի ամենանշանավոր գրական հրատարակչություններից մեկը — գաղափարների տուն, աշխարհների կամուրջ։ Դրա էջերի միջոցով հայ ընթերցողները առաջին անգամ հանդիպեցին Ալբեր Կամյուի, Սեն-Ժոն Պերսի, Մարգերիտ Դյուրասի, Մորիս Մետերլինքի և Անդրե Ժիդի ստեղծագործություններին։

Երկու տասնամյակի ընթացքում ԱևՄ-ն ընդլայնեց իր առաքելությունը՝ դառնալով արվեստի, գրականության և գիտության խաչմերուկում գործող բազմաճյուղ հարթակ։ Ամենահայտնի նախագծերից է «Աշխարհը փոխած 50 կին» պատկերազարդ շարքը, որն այժմ Հայաստանի ամենաճանաչված քաղաքացիական կրթական նախաձեռնություններից մեկն է երիտասարդ լսարանի համար։

Հիմնադիր և տնօրեն Արմինե Դանիելյանի ղեկավարությամբ ԱևՄ-ն 2024 թվականին վերագրանցվեց որպես հիմնադրամ — ոչ միայն կազմակերպչական հասունության, այլև կայուն, ինստիտուցիոնալ ազդեցության ռազմավարական հանձնառության նշան։
